In November 2025, the Stark Regional Community Correction Center (SRCCC) and the Stark County Humane Society formed a partnership to re-acclimate dogs into society and facilitate their adoption. Through this initiative, SRCCC residents’ complete community service at the Humane Society, while SRCCC fosters dogs to aid in the adoption process.
Since the program’s inception, SRCCC has successfully fostered two dogs, “Speedy” and “Rubble.” Speedy has already been adopted, and Rubble is expected to be adopted soon. To date, this collaborative partnership has been an absolute success.
