Local businesses and churches partner with SRCCC to provide education, support, career resources and potential employment upon dismissal.

VitalCore

VitalCore has been an important resource in the facility. Their team provides medical services to our residents seven days a week. They conduct medication passes and medical evaluations, and determine when residents may need a higher level of medical care. Eligible residents are also provided medicated assisted treatment (MAT) by VitalCore daily. We appreciate their continuous dedication to keeping our facility healthy.

AVO Behavioral Health and Recovery

AVO Behavioral Health and Recovery works with SRCCC to provide needed mental health services and peer support services. Our residents are provided mental health counseling, chemical dependency counseling, and psychiatric services virtually through this agency. Along with these services, AVO has a provider that conducts an IOP class once a week and provides some support services with our residents. We are grateful for our continued partnership with this agency.

Summit Psychological Associates

Summit Psychological Associates works with SRCCC residents on the HOPE track. The HOPE track is a court ordered mental health program that the resident is assessed for and court ordered to keep up on continued care. These services include, mental health counseling, psychiatric services, and case management.

CommQuest Services

CommQuest Services helps provide mental health services to SRCCC residents that do not have insurance. They have received a grant to come into the facility to provide mental health counseling and peer support services to residents throughout the week.

Canton City School District

Canton City School District along with the ASPIRE program, provide educational opportunities for our residents. They loan technology for our residents to use to further their education such as taking practice tests when preparing for their GED testing. This technology also allows our staff to evaluate the residents on their educational levels to better assist them.

Stark County Library

Stark County Library provides our residents with the opportunity to check out reading material. With the use of their book mobile, the library loans our residents reading materials and provides them the opportunity to explore their interests. Library cards are provided for the residents which gives residents another community resource they can utilize upon release.

Domestic Violence Project

The Domestic Violence Project is a valuable resource for our female population. This group comes in to conduct a group and provide resources to residents that may have experienced domestic violence in the past or at risk of experiencing domestic violence in the future. This educational program helps the women of SRCCC gain a sense of empowerment and safety.

The Great Stark County Urban League

Recently, we have partnered with the Greater Stark County Urban League to provide a workforce development program to our residents. They have a team of navigators that will be involved with delivering a program to our residents to better their employment opportunities. This program is another community resource that can follow our residents well beyond their time at SRCCC.

True Freedom Ministries

True Freedom Ministries has been a valuable resource for SRCCC. This organization provides so many recreational and educational opportunities to our residents. Along with this, for our residents without community support, they provide clothing and hygiene items. They spend their free time creating special events and spending time with our residents to help them develop in their sobriety and their faith. From teaching leadership skills to special holiday events, staff and residents are truly grateful for True Freedom Ministries’ dedication and partnership with our facility.

Faith Family Church

Faith Family Church offers fellowship, religious education and events to our facility. These volunteers take time with our residents to minister, provide them structured church services and special holiday events. The Faith Family Church often shares their time and treasure with the residents to help support them in their stay. Our residents enjoy the time they get to spend with these volunteers and get the opportunity to create real community connections.

Aramark

Aramark is SRCCC’s choice of meal provider. They work to prepare meals and teach important skills to the residents. Not only does this group prepare meals, but they bring a program called In2Work into our facility. With this program, residents have the opportunity to learn a trade and leave with a ServSafe certificate. This certificate has proven useful for residents starting careers in the food industry upon release.

True Freedom Ministries has been a valuable resource for SRCCC. This organization provides so many recreational and educational opportunities to our residents. Iron Sharpens Iron Ministry

Iron Sharpens Iron Ministries volunteers their time to come in and spend time with our residents. They often involve residents in a “game night” where residents can play board games with volunteers. Along with this enjoyable evening, volunteers provide religious services and activities with the residents to get them excited about community involvement upon release. This partnership has given our residents a fun and supportive outlet to their stay at our facility.

New Beginnings

New Beginnings comes into our facility to work with our female residents on a more personal basis. They provide a discussion based activity that ties in religion, personal experience, and perseverance. This program has given hope to residents that participate.

RAHAB Ministries

RAHAB Ministries comes in to work our female residents. This organization was developed to work with survivors of human and sex trafficking. At SRCCC, they help provide supportive services to our women. They model healthy relationships and discuss community opportunities that may be useful resources upon release.

Alcoholics Anonymous – Linda W. 

We would like to acknowledge a dedicated volunteer named Linda W. She has been committed to providing Alcoholics Anonymous meetings weekly at SRCCC. She has brought other volunteers with her to help our residents get involved in 12 step programming. Linda has been a valuable partner and has provided great encouragement to our residents.

Honor Court

Our connection with Stark County Common Pleas Court gives us the opportunity to work with veterans involved in the Honor Court program. These individuals have served our country in the military and have now become involved in the criminal justice system. Honor Court, along with the Honorable Judge Taryn Heath, allows these veterans the opportunity to partake in special programming that provides structure, guidance, and mentoring. At SRCCC, we are grateful to work with this special program and provide a prison alternative to some of these participants.
